Krueger's Tavern now open in OTR

Krueger's Tavern is now open on Vine Street. The latest project from Thunderdome Restaurant Group, who also own Bakersfield and Eagle Beer and Food Hall, both also on the restaurant row of Vine Street, opened on Monday for dinner.

It's a German/European tavern, with house-made sausages such as jaegerwurst and merguez, comfort food including a sloppy joe and eggplant parmesan, along with salads (kale, chicken schnitzel) and appetizers (hot beer cheese)

Located at 1211 Vine St., in the space next door to Bakersfield that was Lavomatic, Krueger's is open now for dinner, from 4 p.m.- midnight on Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Owner Joe Lanni said they like to open their new restaurants in stages. They'll expand to seven days, and then to lunch, as staff is trained.
